Le Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Francis "Dick" Strawbridge, MBE (né le 3 septembre 1959), est un ingénieur Britannique, présentateur de télévision et écologiste. Il est souvent désigné comme "le Colonel Dick".
Le troisième de sept enfants, Strawbridge est né en Birmanie, puis élevé et éduqué dans le Comté d'Antrim, en Irlande du Nord. Il a assisté à Ballyclare Haute École de 1971 à 1976.
Strawbridge reçu une commission dans l'Armée Britannique en 1979, après avoir assisté à Welbeck DSFC (qui est devenu le chef de collège) et de Sandhurst. Il rejoint la Royal Corps of signals en janvier 1980. Promu Lieutenant en avril 1981, et le Capitaine en octobre 1985, il est devenu l'un des Principaux en septembre 1991. Il a reçu un ordre de l'empire britannique en 1993 pour son service distingué dans le Nord de l'Irlande, promu Lieutenant-Colonel en juin 1999, et quitte l'armée en novembre 2001.
Strawbridge est apparu comme un ingénieur et de l'environnement expert sur les différents programmes de télévision, y compris les Rebuts Défi. Il est d'abord apparu comme un candidat à l'équipe de Frères d'Armes qui sont devenus champions de la série et, plus tard, il est devenu le principal présentateur remplaçant Robert Llewellyn. Il a également participé à trois séries de Il n'est Pas Facile d'Être Vert pour BBC Two, les six parties de la BBC, Deux séries Astucieux des Astuces de la Guerre dont il était le principal présentateur, la Planète de la Mécanique, et comme un invité régulier présentateur sur la Côte. À la suite de son commutateur de carrière à la télévision, Strawbridge fait souvent référence à lui-même comme un "télé tarte".
