Max Adolph Otto Siegfried Schmeling (Klein Luckow, 28 settembre 1905 – Wenzendorf, 2 febbraio 2005) è stato un pugile tedesco.
Fu campione mondiale dei pesi massimi dal 1930 al 1932.
La International Boxing Hall of Fame lo ha riconosciuto fra i più grandi pugili di ogni tempo.
La rivista Ring Magazine lo nominò Fighter of the year dell'anno 1930.

La rivista Ring Magazine lo ha inserito al 55º posto in una propria classifica dei primi 100 puncher di ogni epoca.
Iniziò la carriera agonistica nel 1924; al secondo incontro da professionista mise fuori combattimento alla terza ripresa Piet Van der Veer che aveva conteso nel 1923 il titolo europeo dei pesi massimi a Erminio Spalla.
Campione europeo dei pesi mediomassimi nel 1927, si trasferì in America. A New York nel 1930 superò per squalifica alla quarta ripresa Jack Sharkey, che lo aveva messo fuori combattimento con un colpo basso, e conquistò il titolo mondiale assoluto che detenne per due anni, fino al 21 giugno 1932, quando incontrò nuovamente Sharkey e da questi fu sconfitto ai punti in quindici riprese.
