Manuel Alejandro Medrano López (29 ottobre 1987,Cartagena, Colombia), noto come Manuel Medrano, è una cantante pop Colombiana e vincitore di due Grammy latini.
Il suo canto e songwriting sono un modo di dire grazie per il sostegno della sua famiglia. La storia di Manuel Medrano inizia quando ha fallito un anno scolastico e, come "punizione", ha ricevuto una chitarra. Dall'età di 16 anni ha iniziato a scrivere canzoni, che lo spinse ad iniziare una carriera come artista solista.
Per diversi anni ha giocato nel bar a Bogotà nel comporre i suoi brani, che, anni dopo, lo ha reso famoso a livello nazionale.
Nel mese di agosto 2014 è uscito "Afuera del planeta", il suo primo singolo indipendente. La riproduzione del brano aumentato gradualmente sulla radio nazionale, al punto di diventare uno dei successi dell'anno. Grazie a questa canzone, è stato nominato due volte per lo Shock music awards: Best New Artist e Best Shock Presenta categorie.
