Armando Manzanero est un musicien, acteur et compositeur mexicain né à (Mérida, le 7 décembre 1935).
À l'âge de huit ans , il a été introduit dans le monde de la musique dans les Arts Escuela de Bellas (Ecole des Beaux - Arts) de sa ville natale, faire avancer plus tard ses études musicales à Mexico. En 1950, à l'âge de quinze ans, il compose sa première mélodie intitulée Nunca en el Mundo (Jamais dans le monde), dont vingt-et-une versions dans différentes langues ont été enregistrées à ce jour. L'année suivante, il entame sa carrière professionnelle en tant que pianiste.
En 1957, il a été signé en tant que directeur musical de la branche mexicaine de CBS International et comme promoteur de musique pour EMI, devenir l'année prochaine, le pianiste d'artistes latino - américains tels que Pedro Vargas, Lucho Gatica et Raphaël.
En 1959, un dirigeant de RCA Victor l’engagea vivement à enregistrer son premier album de chansons d’amour, qu’il nomma Mi Primera Grabación (Mon premier disque).
