Steve Oedekerk (d. 27 Kasım 1961), Amerikalı komedyen, yönetmen, editör, yapımcı, senarist ve oyuncudür.
Oedekerk'ün ismi en çok oyuncu Jim Carrey ile anılır (özellikle Ace Ventura), dizi filmleri "Thumbmation" kısa filmleri Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002).
Oedekerk Los Angeles, Kaliforniya'da doğdu ve halihazırda eşi ve iki çocuğu ile Kaliforniya'da yaşamaktadır. kariyeri boyunca göz önünde oldu ve bunun yanında bazı televizyonlar için programlar yarattı. Özellikle, NBC, ABC, ve UPN için oluşturduğu projelerle adını duyurdu. Senaristlik yeteneğinin geliştirmesi 1980'lerin son döneminden 1990'ların başları arasında özellikle FOX için gerçekleştirdiği projeler ile gerçekleşir. Oedekerk televizyon dizisi In Living Color(1990-1994) sayesinde tanıştığı komedyen/oyuncu Jim Carrey ile sıkı bir dostluğun adımlarını atar, bu yıllar ikilinin birlikte atacağı projelerin ilk adımı olmuştur.
Daha sonra Carrey ile yeni bir proje için bir araya gelen Oedekerk Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994), Türkiye'de vizyona giren adıyla Ace Ventura: Pet Detective ile beklenmeyen bir başarıya imza atar, bu başarının üzerine serinin ikinci filmi izleyicinin beğenisine sunulur. Bu film ile de aradığı başarıyı yakalayan Oedekerk,Universal Pictures için Çatlak Profesör (1996) adlı filmin senaryosunu yazar, film 1996 yılının en çok çıkış yapan filmlerinden olmuştur. 90'lı yılları senaristlik ile geçiren Oedekerk'in diğer filmleri Tim Robbins ve Martin Lawrence oynadığı Nothing to Lose (1997), Patch Adams (1998), Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000), Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2001), Kung Pow: Enter the Fist (2002) (bahsi geçen filmin hem yönetmenliğini hem de baş rol görevini üstlenmiştir), Bruce Almighty (2003) ve Barnyard (2006).
