Jan Delay (gerçek adı Jan Phillip Eißfeldt, d. 25 Ağustos 1976, Eppendorf, Hamburg) Alman şarkıcı, söz yazarı ve prodüktör. Hip-hop, Reggae, Soul ve Funk tarzı müzikler yapmaktadır. Solo sanatçı olarak ünlenmeden önce Alman hiphop grubu Beginner ile tanındı.
1986-1995 yılları arasında Hamburg'da Helene-Lange Lisesi'nde okudu. 1991'de Absolute Beginner adlı rap grubunun kurucularından oldu. Bu grupta Eißfeldt adını kullanıyordu. Bu grup daha sonra Beginner adını aldı. 1997'de kendi müzik şirketi olan "Eimsbush" şirketini kurdu. Bu şirket ile 2003'e kadar genç hip-hop şarkıcılarına destek verdi. Şirketin kapanmasının en büyük sebebi ekonomik problemler olmuştu.
1999'da Nena şarkısı Irgendwo, Irgendwie, Irgendwann 'a yaptığı reggae yorumu ile ilk solo single'ını çıkardı. Daha sonra Jan Delay adını kullanmaya başlayan sanatçı, Hamburg'lu Sam Ragga Band grubu ile birlikte ilk solo albümü Searching for the Jan Soul Rebels'i 2001'de yayınladı ve 60-Hertz-Tour adlı turnesine çıktı. Albümünün adı İngiliz müzik grubu Dexys Midnight Runners'ın ilk albümü olan Searching for the Young Soul Rebels'a göndermedir. Albümde prodüktör Matthias Arfmann ile beraber çalışmıştı.
