Jacques Tati (aslında Jacques Tatischeff; 9 Ekim 1907; Le Pecq (Yvelines) - 4 Kasım 1982, Paris), Fransız yönetmen ve aktör.
Sanat ve Mühendislik okudu. Tati, görsel komedi sanatını yenir yoğunluk, detay zenginliği ve yeni bir kompozisyon netliği getirerek yorumladı; görselliğe yeni bir bakış açısı getiren bir avuç sinema sanatçısından (diğerleri Griffith, Eisenstein, Murnau ve Bresson) biriydi.
1930'lu yılların başında Fransız müzikal çevresine girdi; gösterisi dönemin spor yıldızlarının pandomimlerinden oluşmaktaydı ve bazıları filme alındı, savaştan sonra da uzun metrajlı hale getirildi; Jour de fête (Bayram Günü, 1949), bütün çalışmalarında baştan sona gözlemlenen hicivli temanın (modern teknolojinin soğukluğu) yanı sıra görsel üslubu da son derece gelişmiştir.
Tati, kariyerinin geri kalan süresi boyunca oynayacağı karakteri tanıttığı yeni filmi Les Vacances de monsieur Hulot (Bay Hulot'nun Tatili, 1953) için dört yıl çalıştı. Yaratılan karakterin sıcaklığı ve gülütlerin parlak yaratıcılığı Bay Hulot'ya uluslararası bir başarı kazandırdı. Hulot (konuş: Ülô), mizahın kaynağı ve odağı olmak anlamında bir komedyen değildir; daha ziyade, etrafındaki dünyanın mizahını açığa çıkaran bir tavır, bir işaret direği ve bir perspektiftir.
