Рок Ха́дсон (англ. Rock Hudson, урождённый Рой Га́рольд Ше́рер-младший (англ. Roy Harold Scherer, Jr.); 17 ноября 1925 года — 2 октября 1985 года) — американский актёр кино и телевидения, известный главным образом ролями в мелодрамах Дугласа Сирка и в серии фильмов, где его партнёршей выступала Дорис Дэй.
Рой Гарольд Шерер-младший родился 17 ноября 1925 года в деревне Уиннетка, штат Иллинойс. Он был единственным ребёнком в семье. Отец бросил семью во время Великой депрессии. Мать будущего актёра вновь вышла замуж, а отчим усыновил его. Во время Второй мировой войны Рок Хадсон служил на флоте, был авиамехаником.
После войны Рой пытался учиться, однако оставил учёбу в связи с плохой успеваемостью. Ещё в возрасте восьми лет мальчик увидел фильм с Джеки Купером и решил стать кинозвездой, чтобы купить себе новый велосипед. Мечты о кино не оставляли его и в более зрелом возрасте. Работая водителем грузовика, почтальоном, он пытался стать актёром, но лишь в 1948 году получил небольшую роль в фильме «Fighter Squadron» («Эскадрилья истребителей»). Согласно биографическому очерку Найджела Которна о Роке Хадсоне, для сцены Рока, состоящей из одной реплики, понадобилось 36 дублей. Опытный режиссёр Рауль Уолш оставил парня в фильме, при этом наняв его красить дом. И всё же типажность и фактура актёра не остались незамеченными.
