Оскар Даниэл Безерра Шмидт (порт.-браз. Oscar Daniel Bezerra Schmidt; род. 16 февраля 1958 года в Натале, Риу-Гранди-ду-Норти, Бразилия) — бразильский баскетболист, выступал на позиции атакующего защитника и лёгкого форварда, участник пяти подряд Олимпийских игр (1980—1996), на трёх из которых становился лучшим снайпером. Рост — 205 см, вес — 107 кг.
В Бразилии за свои выдающиеся снайперские способности получил прозвище «Святая рука» (порт. Mão Santa). По неофициальным данным, в матчах за клубы и сборную Бразилии набрал за карьеру 49 703 очка, что является абсолютным мировым рекордом. Надо отметить, что Шмидт никогда не выступал за «большие» клубы, а был безоговорочным лидером и лучшим снайпером в командах, где все остальные игроки играли «на него».
В 1984 году 26-летний Шмидт был задрафтован клубом НБА «Нью-Джерси Нетс», но, несмотря на ряд предложений выступать за американские клубы, Шмидт отказался ехать играть в США, так как в этом случае он утрачивал свой любительский статус и не смог бы выступать за сборную Бразилии (до 1989 года игроки НБА, как профессионалы, не могли выступать за свои сборные).
