Биография (вики)
Кэтрин Элизабет МакГрат (англ. Katie McGrath) — ирландская актриса и модель. Наиболее известна по ролям леди Морганы в британском телесериале «Мерлин» и Люси Вестенра в сериале «Дракула».
Родилась 3 января в 1983 году в Эшфорде (графство Уиклоу, Ленстер, Ирландия) в семье системного администратора Пола Макграта и фэшн-ассистентки дизайнера Лэйни Кеога Мэри Макграт. Кэти — младшая из трёх детей, всегда была очень близка со своими братьями: Рори (продюсер пост-производства) и Шоном (онлайн-медийный менеджер).
Высшее образование получила в Тринити Колледже на факультете истории, в Дублине. В 2007 году, проработав после выпуска восемь месяцев в журнале Image, Кэти устроилась помощником костюмера в историческом сериале «Тюдоры», где ей порекомендовали всерьёз подумать о профессии актрисы.
Воспользовалась советом, разослала своё портфолио в ирландские агентства по подбору актёров и вскоре получила свою первую роль в ирландском телефильме «Ущерб». В том же году состоялся дебют актрисы на театральных подмостках, она сыграла главную роль в пьесе Ла Мареа в Bedrock Productions на Дублинском театральном фестивале. В 2008 год она появилась в одном из эпизодов 2-го сезона «Тюдоров», сыграла в фильмах «Эдем» и «Багровая мгла», а также получила роль леди Морганы в телесериале «Мерлин», который и открыл её имя широкой аудитории.
