Merton Laverne Lundquist Jr. (nascido em 17 de julho de 1940) é um Americano esportivo.
Lundquist nasceu em Duluth, Minnesota. Formou-se em Austin High School, em Austin, Texas, antes de participar de Texas Universidade Luterana (anteriormente Texas Luterana College), onde foi um dos fundadores do Omega Tau Fraternidade, em 1958, antes de se formar em 1962. Ele é agora um membro do Conselho de Regentes para a sua alma mater.
Lundquist participou de Augsburgo Seminário em Rock Island, Illinois, no ano de 1962. Seu pai era um pastor Luterano e o Presidente do Nebraska Sínodo de Augsburgo Igreja Luterana. Lundquist jogou basquete e beisebol, e foi um disc jockey na WOC, Davenport, Iowa. Sua "Voz de Ouro" foi o destaque da classe do seminário sobre pregação.
Ele começou sua difusão carreira como esportes âncora para WFAA em Dallas e Austin para KTBC, além de ser a rádio voz do Dallas Cowboys. Lundquist juntou os Cowboys de Rede de Rádio, em 1967, e permaneceu com a equipe até a estação de 1984.
