Edwin van der Sar (Voorhout, 29 de outubro de 1970) é um ex-futebolista neerlandês que atuava como goleiro. Atualmente trabalha como diretor executivo do Ajax.
Em sua carreira, é considerado um dos maiores goleiros da história do Manchester United e do futebol mundial. Atuou por Ajax, Juventus, Fulham, Manchester United e é o segundo jogador que mais disputou partidas pela Seleção Neerlandesa.
Ele começou sua carreira nas categorias de base do Ajax ao lado de outros astros, sendo assim considerado um membro de uma geração de ouro do clube. Permaneceu lá por nove anos antes de se mudar para a Juventus, e depois fez sucesso na Inglaterra: primeiro para o Fulham e depois com o Manchester United. É um dos poucos jogadores que ganhou a Liga dos Campeões com duas equipes diferentes - com o Ajax em 1995 e o Manchester United em 2008.
Entrevistado por Maarten Arts, treinador de goleiros neerlandês, para o livro "The Soccer Goalkeeper Coach", Edwin revelou que, originalmente, não era goleiro. Entretanto, quando tinha oito anos, o goleiro do time em que jogava não compareceu a um jogo e o treinador pediu a Edwin que ocupasse o lugar do colega, dizendo "Você é o mais alto do time, então tente". A experiência deu certo e o neerlandês achou a posição na qual seguiria pelo resto da carreira.
