Craig Ashley David (ur. 5 maja 1981 w Southampton) – brytyjski piosenkarz R&B.
Zgodnie z danymi, sprzedał ponad 13 milionów albumów na całym świecie.
Urodził się i dorastał w Holyrood, Southampton, Hampshire, jako syn Tiny (z domu Loftus), pomocnicy w handlu detalicznym w Superdrug oraz George’a Davida, stolarza. Ojciec Davida jest Grenadyjczykiem, natomiast jego matka jest Angielką, związaną z założycielami spółki zegarmistrzowskiej Accurist; dziadek Davida ze strony matki był ortodoksyjnym Żydem, zaś jego babka ze strony matki przeszła konwersję na judaizm. Rodzice Davida rozeszli się, gdy miał osiem lat i od tej pory był wychowywany przez matkę. Uczęszczał do szkoły Bellemoor School i Southampton City College.
Jego ojciec grał na basie w zespole reggae Ebony Rockers, który odniósł spory sukces w 1980, oraz sam zachęcał – wówczas 12-letniego – syna do gry na gitarze klasycznej. Jednak Craiga bardziej interesowało śpiewanie. Craig zaczął towarzyszyć swojemu ojcu w lokalnych dyskotekach, w których DJ-e pozwalali mu brać mikrofon, co wykorzystał, by rozmawiać z publicznością i harmonizować nagrania. Wtedy też rozpoczął swoją karierę na brytyjskiej scenie pop.
