Tina Turner, pseudonimo di Anna Mae Bullock (Nutbush, 26 novembre 1939), è una cantante e attrice statunitense con cittadinanza svizzera, tra le più famose del rock internazionale.
Con una carriera lunga più di cinquant'anni, che va dagli anni sessanta agli anni duemila, viene spesso definita "la Regina del rock and roll". Nel 1991 è stata inserita nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Nel 2004 la rivista Rolling Stone la ha inserita al 17 posto nella classifica dei 100 migliori cantanti di sempre e al 63 posto nella classifica dei lista dei 100 miglior artisti.
Tina Turner nasce a Nutbush, vicino a Brownsville, nello stato del Tennessee. All'età di dieci anni canta già nel coro della chiesa della sua città, dove il padre, Richard, è pastore. Nel 1956 i genitori si separano; Anna Mae e la sorella Alline vanno a vivere a St. Louis. Qui incontra il musicista Ike Turner. Insieme registrano Little Ann nel 1958 e nel 1960, accompagnati dalle vocalist The Ikettes, A Fool in Love che ottiene subito un notevole successo giungendo ai primi posti nelle classifiche internazionali. Tina e Ike si sposano alla fine del 1960 a Tijuana, ma il matrimonio viene invalidato perché Ike non ottiene il divorzio dalla prima moglie. Comunque Tina prende il cognome di Ike.
