Robin Olds (Honolulu, 14 luglio 1922 – Steamboat Springs, 14 giugno 2007) è stato un aviatore statunitense. Sposato con l'attrice di Hollywood Ella Raines, fu un pilota da caccia della USAF, attivo durante la seconda guerra mondiale e la Guerra del Vietnam, nella quale ideò alcune innovative tattiche di combattimento aereo basate sull'inganno; queste tattiche permisero di far alzare in volo in diverse occasioni caccia nord-vietnamiti che si aspettavano bombardieri o cacciabombardieri, trovandosi invece contro caccia come il F-4 Phantom II che avvantaggiandosi della superiorità tecnica individuale e della presenza di altri aerei radar e da guerra elettronica inflissero significative perdite ai loro avversari. In particolare comandò l'ottavo stormo caccia della base di Ubon, Thailandia, nel corso dell'"Operazione Bolo". Consisteva nel far credere ai nemici che Olds ed i suoi uomini volassero con degli F-105 Thunderchief, usando stessi nominativi e frequenze. Abbatterono 7 aerei, infliggendo una grande perdita ai nemici.
