Renzo Arbore, all'anagrafe Lorenzo Giovanni Arbore (Foggia, 24 giugno 1937), è un cantautore, disc jockey, conduttore radiofonico, clarinettista, showman, autore televisivo, conduttore televisivo, sceneggiatore, regista, compositore e attore italiano.
Viene considerato il primo disc jockey italiano.
Renzo Arbore è figlio di un dentista e di una casalinga. Prima di laurearsi in Giurisprudenza all'Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, cominciò a distinguersi come musicista proprio a Foggia, la sua città natale, nella storica Taverna del Gufo nel centro storico e nei pressi di Via Arpi, dopo essere stato, in precedenza, al seguito di un noto complesso jazz foggiano, l'orchestra Parker's Boys, anche clarinettista. L'esordio sul palco avviene a 18 anni, in una dixieland band, nella città di Nocera Inferiore.
Si interessa di musica leggera e di jazz. Nel 1964 vince un concorso in Rai. Successivamente partecipa al corso di "maestro programmatore di musica leggera". Conosce Gianni Boncompagni, che diventa suo compagno di banco. Per la tv di stato si occupano di trasmissioni di varietà (Bandiera gialla, Alto gradimento, L'altra domenica, Cari amici vicini e lontani..., Indietro tutta!); nel 1996 è stato direttore artistico dei programmi Radio RAI.
