RM, pseudonimo di Kim Nam-joon (김남준, 金南俊, Gim Nam-jun, Kim Namchun; Seul, 12 settembre 1994), è un rapper, compositore e produttore discografico sudcoreano. Dal 2013 è il leader della boy band BTS, sotto contratto con la Big Hit Entertainment. Nel 2015 ha esordito come solista pubblicando il suo primo mixtape RM e nel corso della sua carriera ha stretto collaborazioni con artisti coreani ed internazionali come Wale, Warren G, Gaeko, Krizz Kaliko, MFBTY e Primary.
Kim Nam-joon nasce il 12 settembre 1994 a Sangdo-dong nel distretto di Dongjak a Seul. Quattro o cinque anni dopo la sua nascita, la sua famiglia, appartenente al clan Kim di Gangneung, si trasferisce nel distretto di Ilsandong a Goyang, dove cresce con una sorella minore. Interessato più alle materie umanistiche che a quelle scientifiche, durante il periodo scolastico si dedica alla poesia, ricevendo dei premi per i suoi lavori, che pubblica su una comunità online per un anno, ottenendo una moderata attenzione. Pensa quindi di intraprendere una carriera nella letteratura, ma in seguito cambia idea considerandola troppo rischiosa.
