Phillip Phillips (Albany, 20 settembre 1990) è un cantautore statunitense.
Dopo aver ottenuto la notorietà vincendo l'undicesima edizione del talent show American Idol, ha pubblicato il suo primo singolo, Home, che è stato certificato doppio disco di platino dalla Recording Industry Association of America. Il brano è stato poi incluso nel suo album di debutto, The World from the Side of the Moon, pubblicato il 19 novembre 2012.
Nato ad Albany, nello Stato americano della Georgia, da Sheryl Phillips e Phillip LaDon "Donnie" Phillips Senior. Si trasferisce con la famiglia a Leesburg, città dello stesso Stato, all'età di 12 anni, dove ha frequentato la Lee County High School.
Grazie al cognato, Benjamin Neil, impara a suonare la chitarra all'età di 14 anni. Nel 2009, i due fondano la Phillip Phillips Band, insieme anche a Todd Urick. Un anno più tardi, Phillips partecipa al concorso canoro locale Albany Star, ottenendo la vittoria. Partecipa anche ai provini di America's Got Talent, ma viene scartato dopo essersi esibito davanti ai produttori del programma televisivo.
