Biografia (wiki)
Nino Frassica, all'anagrafe Antonino Frassica (Messina, 11 dicembre 1950), è un attore, conduttore radiofonico, personaggio televisivo, cantante e comico italiano.
Dopo un anno di studi al Piccolo di Milano e dopo varie esperienze teatrali, grazie a un eccentrico messaggio lasciato sulla segreteria telefonica si fa notare da Renzo Arbore, che nel 1983 lo chiama per interpretare la parte del tecnico di Tele Ottaviano in "FF.SS." - Cioè: "...che mi hai portato a fare sopra a Posillipo se non mi vuoi più bene?". Sempre con Arbore partecipa nel 1985 al varietà Quelli della notte, nella parte di frate Antonino da Scasazza, organizzatore di un improbabile concorso a premi, e nel 1987 a Indietro tutta!, dove veste i panni del "bravo presentatore" e mette in scena una spassosa parodia del tipico conduttore televisivo.
Presenta poi su Raidue la trasmissione "Ritira il premio" e partecipa successivamente a Fantastico, Domenica in, Scommettiamo che...?, I cervelloni, Acqua calda al fianco di Faletti e, più di recente, in Colorado Cafè e nella prima stagione di Markette condotto da Piero Chiambretti. La sua comicità si basa soprattutto sull'eloquio surreale: il discorso non-sense, le frasi lapalissiane e le sue considerazioni al di fuori da ogni logica sono i suoi strumenti retorici preferiti. Uno degli ultimi successi è la fiction televisiva Don Matteo, cominciata nel 1999 e giunta alla decima serie, con Terence Hill, Flavio Insinna e Simone Montedoro, in cui è coprotagonista e interpreta il maresciallo dei Carabinieri Nino Cecchini.
