John Rhys-Davies (Ammanford, 5 maggio 1944) è un attore e doppiatore gallese, conosciuto per aver interpretato Sallah nei film di Indiana Jones, il nano Gimli nella trilogia de Il Signore degli Anelli (dove ha anche doppiato Barbalbero) e il ruolo del professor Maximillian Arturo nella serie televisiva I viaggiatori.
Attore esperto, presente in molti film e altrettante serie televisive, ha interpretato lo scavatore egiziano Sallah in I predatori dell'arca perduta e Indiana Jones e l'ultima crociata, ruolo che lo ha reso celebre anche in Europa. Si ammalò di colera, insieme alla maggior parte della troupe, durante le riprese de I predatori ma guarì in tempo per continuare a girare. Altro ruolo interpretato dall'attore è il generale Leonid Pushkin nel film di James Bond 007 - Zona pericolo.
Ha inoltre doppiato Man Ray in un episodio della serie SpongeBob Squarepants. È stato un personaggio ricorrente in Star Trek: Voyager, avendo interpretato il ruolo in veste olografica di Leonardo da Vinci. È stato uno dei personaggi del film Kim del 1984, tratto dall'omonimo romanzo di Kipling. Ha interpretato il ruolo dello zio cattivo in Principe azzurro cercasi con Anne Hathaway e Julie Andrews e ha anche interpretato il ruolo del professor Challenger nei film Il mondo perduto e Ritorno al mondo perduto.
