John Burke Krasinski (Newton, 20 ottobre 1979) è un attore, regista e sceneggiatore statunitense.
Nato a Newton, nel Massachusetts, ultimo dei tre figli di Ronald Krasinski, medico internista statunitense di origini polacche, e di Mary Doyle, infermiera statunitense di origini irlandesi, si diploma alla "Newton South High School" nel 1997 e in seguito studia alla Brown University come drammaturgo.
Dopo alcuni cortometraggi e ruoli televisivi, debutta al cinema con un piccolo ruolo in Kinsey del 2004, in seguito ottiene piccole parti in Jarhead, L'amore non va in vacanza e Dreamgirls. Acquista popolarità grazie all'interpretazione di Jim Halpert nella serie TV The Office. Nel 2006 la rivista People lo ha inserito tra gli uomini viventi più sexy.
Nel 2007 doppia Sir Lancillotto in Shrek terzo e lavora al fianco di Mandy Moore e Robin Williams in Licenza di matrimonio. Sempre nel 2007 debutta alla regia, dirigendo l'adattamento cinematografico della raccolta di racconti di David Foster Wallace Brevi interviste con uomini schifosi, ed è co-protagonista di In amore niente regole di e con George Clooney. Nel 2015 è tra i protagonisti di 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.
