Gerhard Müller – detto Gerd – (Nördlingen, 3 novembre 1945) è un dirigente sportivo ed ex calciatore tedesco, di ruolo attaccante.
Considerato il più grande centravanti tedesco della storia, è stato campione del mondo con la Nazionale di calcio della Germania Ovest nel 1974 e campione d'Europa nel 1972 segnando i gol decisivi in entrambe le finali. Con il Bayern Monaco vinse anche per tre volte la Coppa dei Campioni. Nel 1970 gli venne assegnato il Pallone d'oro.
Nell'arco della sua carriera, Gerd Müller ha messo a segno in gare ufficiali 730 reti, di cui 68 con la squadra nazionale della Germania (a fronte di sole 62 presenze) e 365 nella Bundesliga, la massima divisione tedesca di calcio. Con Dražan Jerković e David Villa, detiene un primato: sono gli unici calciatori ad avere vinto sia la classifica dei cannonieri dei Mondiali che degli Europei.
Iniziò la carriera nelle giovanili della squadra della sua città, il TSV 1961 Nördlingen. Ebbe la fortuna, in coabitazione con Beckenbauer, di ritrovarsi non uno ma due allenatori che hanno creduto al suo talento: gli jugoslavi (croati) Čajkovski e Zebec. Il primo lo scoprì e lanciò in prima squadra, il secondo ne affinò le caratteristiche. Nota curiosa: Zlatko Čajkovski lo si ricorda come una sorta di precursore del mediano "alla" Beckenbauer, mentre Branko Zebec è stato una delle punte più forti della storia del calcio jugoslavo, e giocava "alla" Muller...
