Deontay Wilder (Tuscaloosa, 22 ottobre 1985) è un pugile statunitense, vincitore della medaglia di bronzo alle Olimpiadi di Pechino del 2008.
Soprannominato "The Bronze Bomber", nome affibbiatogli in memoria di Joe Louis, è il campione del mondo dei pesi massimi WBC dal 2015. Noto per la potenza devastante dei suoi pugni, Wilder possiede tra le più alte percentuali di KO (98.3%) nella storia dei pesi massimi.
Deontay Wilder nasce in una città dell'Alabama, negli U.S.A. Sin da piccolo inizia ad amare la boxe, infatti ha come idoli molti pugili tra cui Muhammad Ali e Mike Tyson. Comincia però a praticare il pugilato solo nel 2005, e grazie alle sue doti fisiche nel 2008 partecipa alle olimpiadi di Pechino e arriva terzo. In seguito entra nella categoria professionisti diventando uno dei pugili attualmente più forti.
Nel 2008 Wilder ha partecipato alle Olimpiadi di Pechino dove ha ottenuto il terzo posto (come il cubano Osmay Acosta), battendo, nell'ordine, Abdelaziz Toulbini, rappresentante dell'Algeria, e il marocchino Mohamed Arjaoui. È stato sconfitto in semifinale dall'italiano Clemente Russo.
