Biografia (wiki)
Cassie, pseudonimo di Cassandra Elizabeth Ventura (New London, 26 agosto 1986), è una cantante statunitense. Modella da quando aveva 14 anni, rappresentata dalla Wilhelmina Models. e attrice, è nota soprattutto come cantante Rhythm and blues.Nel 2005 partecipa al video "Stronger" di Kanye West. Nel 2008 ha recitato nel film Step Up 2 - La strada per il successo.
Il suo primo album, Cassie, fu pubblicato dalla Bad Boy Records l'8 agosto 2006. Ryan Leslie produsse la maggior parte delle canzoni dell'album. L'album debuttò al quarto posto della Billboard 200 degli Stati Uniti, con 100.374 copie vendute nella prima settimana. Il primo singolo estratto dall'album, Me & U, raggiunse il terzo posto della classifica Hot 100 della rivista Billboard.
Electro Love è il secondo album della cantante statunitense Cassie, annunciato già dal 2007, ma più volte posticipato. Fra le collaborazioni presenti nell'album P.Diddy, Akon, Souldiggaz, Mario Winans e Pharell Williams. Non c'è più invece il produttore del primo album Leslie. Prima dell'uscita dell'album sono stati promossi tre singoli: Official Girl featuring Lil Wayne ad agosto 2008, Must Be Love featuring Diddy ad aprile 2009 e Let's Get Crazy featuring Akon ad agosto 2009. Tutti e tre i singoli si sono rivelati dei flop, in seguito ai quali Cassie ha perso il contratto con la Bad Boy Records. Nel dicembre 2009 Cassie ha ottenuto un nuovo contratto con la Interscope Records, con cui verrà pubblicato Electro Love nel 2011.
