Alan Parsons (Londra, 20 dicembre 1948) è un musicista, cantante e tecnico del suono britannico, fondatore insieme a Eric Woolfson del gruppo progressive rock inglese The Alan Parsons Project.
Ha contribuito a molti album, oggi considerati tra i più importanti della storia della musica leggera, e collaborato con importanti gruppi e cantanti rock, tra cui Beatles, Pink Floyd, Al Stewart e John Miles.
Alan Parsons nasce il 20 dicembre 1948 a Londra, in Inghilterra, da Jean e Denys Parsons. A metà anni sessanta diventa ingegnere del suono presso gli studi della EMI di Abbey Road a Londra. Nel 1969 collabora con Geoff Emerick per Abbey Road dei Beatles. In seguito, Parsons continua a collaborare con Paul McCartney e negli anni settanta lavora per i Pink Floyd in Atom Heart Mother e The Dark Side of the Moon.
Successivamente con Eric Woolfson fonda il gruppo progressive rock The Alan Parsons Project nel 1975, band che si scioglierà nel 1990 con l'album Freudiana, pubblicato tuttavia senza il logo del Project.
