William Leymergie, né le 4 février 1947 à Libourne (Gironde), est un journaliste, animateur, chanteur, acteur, et producteur de télévision français.
Il est notamment connu pour avoir présenté, du 10 janvier 1985 au 30 juin 2017, l'émission Télématin, la matinale d'information générale et culturelle de la chaîne publique française France 2.
William Leymergie passe les vingt premières années de sa vie, comme son frère et sa sœur aînés, en Afrique (Algérie, Mali, Sénégal) au gré des affectations de son père, officier dans les troupes coloniales. Ce dernier démissionne de l'armée et devient expert onusien de l'économie auprès du ministère de l'industrie en Algérie. Sa mère est femme au foyer
Il quitte l'Algérie en 1967 pour effectuer des études de lettres à la faculté de Nanterre. Il commence sa carrière audiovisuelle à l'ORTF en 1970 à la direction des affaires extérieures et de la coopération (l'actuelle RFI). Il y intègre deux ans plus tard l'équipe des programmes pour la jeunesse, et également la chaîne de radio France Inter en 1975, où il animera notamment Fréquence Mômes de 1991 à 1996. En 1974, il devient pendant un an journaliste sur TF1.
