Jaime Barnatán Pereda (né le 2 juillet 1981), connu comme Jimmy Barnatán, est une chanteuse espagnole, acteur et écrivain. Ses origines se situent dans le quartier de Chamartín à Madrid (Madrid), mais il a passé une partie de son enfance à New York pour des raisons familiales. Il y a, d'habitude, il est allé à l'église avec sa grand-mère, et il s'est vite impressionné par les chorales Gospel. Il a également su s'entourer de musiciens noirs et a été captivés par le blues qu'ils ont joué. En fait, son style est indéniablement Américain, et sans doute sa voix, puissante et déchiré, est l'une des plus singulières dans le national espagnol de la scène.
Sa relation avec le théâtre et le grand écran aussi commence très bientôt. Jimmy est certainement un artiste aux multiples facettes. Il est né du mariage entre l'écrivain Marcos Ricardo Barnatán et la journaliste Rosa Pereda.
Jimmy Barnatán est né à Madrid, mais son cœur est partagé entre la capitale de l'Espagne, Madrid et New York. Depuis ses premières années, il a montré une grande admiration pour les arts de la scène, et bientôt eu le désir de monter sur la scène d'un théâtre. Sa demande a été répondu en 1992, quand il avait à peine 11 ans: alors, le jeune Jimmy réussi à rejoindre le casting de "Les Misérables", une comédie musicale produite par José Tamayo et Plácido Domingo, en association avec Cameron Mackintosh, qui a été présenté le 16 septembre dans le Nouveau Théâtre Apolo de Madrid, une adaptation du classique qui a inspiré le roman de Victor Hugo.
