David Seaman, né le 19 septembre 1963 à Rotherham, est un footballeur international anglais évoluant au poste de gardien de but.
Au cours de sa carrière entamée à Leeds United en 1981, Seaman a remporté de nombreux trophées en disputant 564 apparitions avec les Gunners. Lors de son passage à Arsenal, il remporte le titre de champion à trois reprises, la FA Cup à quatre reprises, une Coupe de la Ligue, quatre Community Shield et la Coupe d'Europe des vainqueurs de coupe.
Il honore également 75 sélections avec l'équipe d'Angleterre en participant à deux Championnat d'Europe ainsi que deux Coupe du monde.
Né à Rotherham, Seaman conserve toujours son fort accent du Yorkshire. Connu sous le nom de "mains sûres", le gardien David Seaman a disputé plus de 1000 apparitions au cours d’une carrière remarquable de 23 ans. Il a rejoint Leeds United mais, dans l'une de ces erreurs coûteuses commises par des clubs de football, il a été renvoyé à l'âge de 19 ans. Après Peterborough United et Birmingham City, il s'est rendu à Londres avec les Rangers de Queen's Park, où il avait joué pour la première fois en Angleterre. Son stock a augmenté et Arsenal est intervenu. Seaman est retourné à Loftus Road où il a été accueilli par des slogans de "Judas" - et même maintenant, il n'est pas pardonné.
