Biographie (wiki)
Christopher Froome, aussi appelé Chris Froome, né le 20 mai 1985 à Nairobi (Kenya), est un coureur cycliste britannique né kényan. Membre de l'équipe Sky, il remporte quatre fois le Tour de France (2013, 2015, 2016 et 2017), ainsi que le Tour d'Espagne 2017, le Tour d'Italie 2018 et obtient deux fois la médaille de bronze en contre-la-montre aux Jeux olympiques (en 2012 et 2016).
Il devient professionnel en 2007, en rejoignant l'équipe continentale Konica Minolta. Après avoir porté les couleurs du Kenya, il court depuis 2008 sous une licence britannique, grâce à son passeport et au pays d'origine de son père et de son grand-père et il réside à Monaco depuis la saison 2011.
Après une première participation en 2008 avec l'équipe Barloword, il prend part au Tour de France 2012 sous les couleurs de Sky dans le but d'aider son leader Bradley Wiggins à remporter ce Tour et termine deuxième derrière lui. La même année, il est médaillé de bronze en contre-la-montre aux Jeux olympiques. L'année suivante, il remporte la centième édition du Tour de France. Après une saison difficile en 2014, il est vainqueur d'un second Tour de France en 2015 et réitère son succès l'année suivante. En 2016, il remporte une nouvelle fois la médaille de bronze olympique au contre-la-montre. En 2017, après un début de saison sans résultat, il remporte son quatrième Tour de France puis réalise le doublé en remportant le Tour d'Espagne, comme Jacques Anquetil en 1963 et Bernard Hinault en 1978.
