Alan Olav Walker, ayant autrefois utilisé le pseudonyme DJ Walkzz, né le 24 août 1997 à Northampton (Royaume-Uni), est un DJ, auteur-compositeur et producteur britannico-norvégien.
Il obtient la notoriété en 2015 avec son tube Faded.
À ses débuts, en 2012, son morceau instrumental Fade fait sensation après avoir été mis en ligne sur YouTube, lui permettant de signer un contrat avec le label NoCopyrightSounds. Depuis, ses titres Spectre ou Force sont aussi remarqués, mais c'est aujourd'hui une nouvelle version de Fade, baptisée Faded, qui « explose » dans le monde entier avec plus de 1,7 milliard de vues sur YouTube. Sorti en décembre 2015, le titre électro aérien a désormais droit à des paroles interprétées par Iselin Solheim.
Né à Northampton d'un père britannique et d'une mère norvégienne, Alan Walker quitte l'Angleterre pour vivre avec ses parents à Bergen, situé au sud-ouest de la Norvège, alors qu'il est âgé de deux ans. Ayant grandi dans l'ère numérique, il trouve un intérêt précoce pour les ordinateurs et le graphisme. Bien qu'il n'ait, à la base, aucune connaissance musicale, il apprend de façon autodidacte en parcourant des vidéos sur YouTube. En 2012, il commence à composer sur son ordinateur portable et très vite, ses titres attirent l'attention des maisons de disques.
