Polly Jean Harvey, más conocida como PJ Harvey, MBE (Yeovil, Somerset, Inglaterra, 9 de octubre de 1969) es una cantante, compositora, escritora y poeta inglesa. Aunque es conocida principalmente como vocalista y guitarrista, a lo largo de su carrera ha mostrado una faceta multi-instrumentista, destacando en el uso del saxofón, piano o el autoarpa, entre otros.
Inició su carrera artística en 1988, al unirse a la banda Automatic Dlamini como vocalista, saxofonista y guitarrisa. El líder de la agrupación, John Parish, a la postre se convertiría en su frecuente colaborador. En 1991 formó un trío homónimo iniciando su carrera profesional, publicando dos álbumes de estudio, Dry (1992) y Rid of Me (1993) antes de disolverse, después de lo cual Harvey seguiría sin sus compañeros de banda. Desde 1995 ha lanzado otros nueve álbumes de estudio con las colaboraciones de diversos músicos, entre ellos John Parish, su excompañero de banda Rob Ellis, Mick Harvey y Eric Drew Feldman, además de trabajar extensivamente con el productor musical Flood.
