Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez (Dos Hermanas, 12 de octubre de 1990) más conocida como Melody, es una cantante, compositora, actriz y modelo española.
Melodía Ruiz Gutiérrez nació el 12 de octubre de 1990 en la ciudad andaluza de Dos Hermanas (Sevilla), en el seno de una familia muy relacionada con la música. Es hija de Lorenzo Ruiz Molina (miembro del grupo Los Kiyos y solista en la actualidad) y de Ana Gutiérrez Flores, y hermana del también bailarín y cantante Eleazar Ruiz Gutiérrez (Ele).
Desde muy pequeña se interesó por la música y el baile, además de estudiar canto, guitarra clásica, piano e interpretación.
El 17 de junio de 2001, con diez años, Melody publicó su álbum de presentación De pata negra, bajo el sello discográfico de Carabirubí Producciones (para Sony Music) y dirigido por Gustavo Ramudo. Consiguió un doble disco de platino en España y un disco de platino latino en América, acreditado por la Asociación de Industria Discográfica de Estados Unidos (RIAA). El sencillo El baile del gorila, compuesto por José Antonio Benítez Serrano (Frandiego / El Hijo de la Paquita), se convirtió en 2001 en canción del verano y alcanzó el número 1 en España y cuatro en Argentina, el número 2 en EE. UU. y la séptima posición en Francia. Por todo ello, Melody fue considerada la nueva niña prodigio de la música española
