Zhang Ailing conocida como Eileen Chang (chino tradicional: 張愛玲, chino simplificado: 张爱玲, Wade-Giles: Chang Ai-ling, pinyin: Zhāng Àilíng) (Shanghái, China, 30 de septiembre de 1920 - Los Ángeles, Estados Unidos, septiembre de 1995) fue una escritora china-estadounidense.
Su obra El Candado de Oro está considerada una de las obras maestras de la literatura china del siglo XX. Chang abandonó la República Popular China en 1952, poco después de la proclamación del régimen comunista. Precisamente por su rechazo al régimen comunista, su figura y su obra fueron condenadas al ostracismo en la propia China durante muchos años.
Nació en Shanghái el 30 de septiembre de 1920, en el seno de una familia burguesa. Cuando nació le dieron el nombre Zhāng Yīng (張瑛 / 张瑛). En 1922, su familia se desplazó a Tianjin. En 1925 su madre abandonó a su padre, adicto al opio. La pequeña Zhang Ying permaneció en Tianjin junto a su padre. En 1928, volvió a Shanghái. En 1930 se cambia el nombre, adoptando el nombre inglés de "Eileen", transcrito en chino como Àilíng. Desde entonces utilizaría el nombre 張愛玲 (Zhāng Àilíng) en chino, y "Eileen Chang" en inglés. Al parecer, la adopción de un nombre cristiano habría sido una manera de mejorar sus posibilidades de ingreso en la escuela cristiana de Santa María de Shanghái, donde fue aceptada en 1931.
