Roxann Dawson (née Caballero, also credited as Roxann Biggs and Roxann Biggs-Dawson) is an American actress, producer, and director and writer, best known as B'Elanna Torres on the television series Star Trek: Voyager.
Dawson was born in Los Angeles, California, to parents Richard and Rosalie Caballero. She graduated in 1980 from University of California, Berkeley.
Dawson's first professional acting job was in a Broadway production of A Chorus Line. She continued a stage career through the 1980s and 1990s, while occasionally landing minor film and television roles.
In 1994, Dawson began her role as the half Human/half-Klingon engineer B'Elanna Torres on Star Trek: Voyager, which lasted for all seven seasons of the show. While working on Voyager, Dawson made her directorial debut on the episode "Riddles", which aired in September 1999. She later directed the second part of the two-part episode "Workforce" and directed 10 episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. In 2002 she provided the voice of the Repair Station Computer in "Dead Stop", one of the Star Trek: Enterprise episodes she directed.
