Yi Jianlian (chinesisch .mw-parser-output .Hani{font-size:110%}易建联, Pinyin Yì Jiànlián; * 27. Oktober 1987 in Guangdong) ist ein chinesischer Basketballspieler, der zwischen 2007 und 2012 in der NBA gespielt hat. Nachdem er 2012 nach China zu Guangdong Southern Tigers zurückgekehrt war, spielt er seit 2016 wieder in der NBA für die Los Angeles Lakers.
Er ist 2,13 m groß und spielt auf der Position des Power Forwards. Allerdings gibt es hinsichtlich seines Alters einige Ungereimtheiten, da bei einem Spiel der chinesischen Nationalmannschaft der 27. Oktober 1984 als Geburtsdatum angegeben wurde, wodurch die Vermutung aufkam, dass sein Personalausweis womöglich manipuliert worden sei, damit er länger in Jugendteams spielen und sich später für den NBA-Draft anmelden konnte. Fragen bezüglich seines Alters beantwortet Yi mittlerweile nicht mehr.
Yi, der Sohn von Yi Jingliu und Mai Meiling, die beide professionelle Handballspieler waren, besuchte eine Sportschule, die darauf ausgerichtet ist ihren Schülern die besten Voraussetzungen für eine sportliche Karriere zu bieten. In der Hoffnung ihn zu einem Werbevertrag zu bewegen, lud Adidas Yi 2002 nach Teaneck, New Jersey zum so genannten ABCD Camp ein an dem sonst hauptsächlich All-American High School Basketballspieler teilnehmen. Nach seiner Rückkehr nach China, trat er den Guangdong Southern Tigers bei wo er zum Rookie of the Year wurde. 2003 wurde er vom TIME Magazin als der nächste Yao Ming bezeichnet. In den nächsten drei Saisonen in der CBA führte Yi sein Team zum Finale der Meisterschaft. 2006 wurde er ebenfalls zum MVP der Finals gewählt.
