Kendrick Lamar, właśc. Kendrick Lamar Duckworth (ur. 17 czerwca 1987 w Compton) – amerykański raper. Został zauważony po wydaniu mixtape'u pt. Overly Dedicated. W 2011 roku wydał niezależny album zatytułowany Section.80, który był dostępny wyłącznie na iTunes. Płyta okazała się sukcesem, stając się jednym z najlepszych wydań cyfrowych w hip-hopie w tamtym czasie. Współpracował między innymi z takimi muzykami jak:. Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Travis Scott, Wiz Khalifa, Rihanna, Game, Drake, A$AP Rocky, Tech N9ne, Eminem, 50 Cent czy Kanye West.
Kendrick Lamar sprzedał na świecie ponad 7 milionów płyt w tym 4,5 miliona w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Debiutował na liście Billboard 200 pięć razy, w tym trzy razy na 1. miejscu. Jego utwór pod tytułem "HUMBLE." okrył się w stanach siedmiokrotną platyną oraz zdobył 1. miejsce na listach przebojów w USA.
Lamar urodził się w 1987 roku w mieście Compton w stanie Kalifornia, w którym również był wychowywany. W wieku 8 lat, wystąpił u boku Tupaca Shakura i Dr. Dre w teledysku do utworu "California Love". W 2003 roku, w wieku szesnastu lat wydał pod pseudonimem K. Dot, swój pierwszy mixtape pt. Youngest Head Nigga In Charge. Dwa lata później raper wydał kolejny mixtape Training Day (z ang. Dzień próby), na którym znalazło się 26 utworów. Gościnnie wystąpił w teledysku powstałym do utworu "All My Life (In the Ghetto)", rapera Jay Rocka. Został zauważony przez Lil Wayne'a i w 2009 roku wydał trzeci mixtape C4, który był swego rodzaju promocją albumu Tha Carter III. Wkrótce potem raper postanowił zmienić swój pseudonim z K. Dot na Kendrick Lamar, pod którym występuje do dzisiaj. Pod koniec 2009 r. pod nowym pseudonimem wydał minialbum Kendrick Lamar EP.
