Kang Ye-Won (born Kim Ji-Eun on March 15, 1980) is a South Korean actress. She is best known for her roles in Haeundae, Harmony and Quick.
Kang Ye-Won was a choir singer, and received classical vocal training as a soprano since late in primary school. She stopped singing in 2009 due to developing vocal fold nodules, continuing her career as an actress in both films and dramas. Kang's role in the movie Haeundae exacerbated her vocal cord problems, due to the many scenes where she had to scream. In 2017, she resumed vocal training while being active as cast member of the variety show Sister's Slam Dunk (Season 2), where she is expected to become the soprano and high note harmonizer of the second generation of Unnies. However, on the 5th episode, her diagnosis has worsened to having swollen left vocal cord, which would take longer to heal. While she can still sing in the higher soprano range, her struggles has been the lower register. Before episode 10, her condition has been complicated by a flu.
