Veronica and Vanessa are identical twin sisters born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 6, 1996. They grew up in Kansas City before moving to Los Angeles, California, at the age of 16 to pursue a career in acting.

The Merrell twins started making YouTube videos in 2009, but they really started to grow their YouTube channel in 2012-2013. Their videos are produced and edited by their father, Paul Merrell. The content on their channel includes funny skits, original songs and covers, comedy sketches, as well as challenges and games. Their singles include Runner Runner, Internet Crush, It's Valentine's Day, Rhyming Songs, and many more. Their Valentine's Day song has picked up over 10 million views. They have appeared in more than several AwesomenessTV videos and had recurring roles on the CW's TV show Jane the Virgin. They appeared in the 2016 movie The Standoff.
