Romain Ghanem Paul Saïss (born 26 March 1990) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Morocco national team as a defender or a midfielder.
Romain Saiss joined Wolves from French Ligue One side Angers in August 2016. The midfielder put pen to paper on a four-year deal after joining for an undisclosed fee. Saïss made 35 appearances for Angers in 2015/16, helping the club to a ninth place Ligue 1 finish. Prior to his time with Angers, he had spells with Le Havre, Clermont and Valence. The midfielder has also featured at international level for Morocco, including at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia (against Iran and Spain).
On 3 July 2015, Saïss left Le Havre and joined Ligue 1 side Angers on a two-year contract.
On 30 August 2016, he moved to England, joining Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal. He made his debut on 17 September 2016 in a 2–0 win at Newcastle. He scored his first goal for the club on 30 September 2017 in a 4–0 win against Burton Albion.
