Rituparna Sengupta (Ritupôrna Shengupta; born 7 November 1971) is an Indian film actress and producer who is known for her works in Bengali cinema, Hindi cinema, Bangla cinema and a special appearance in a Telugu film. She has garnered the National Film Award in 1998 for her work in Dahan. Her first film was Shwet Patharer Thala, with Aparna Sen, who played her mother-in-law. Her Hindi debut was N. N. Sippy's Teesra Kaun, directed by Parto Ghosh. Hema Malini picked her for a negative supporting role in Zee's home-production Mohini, starring Madhu and Sudesh Berry.
In 1996, she worked in a Kannada movie called Karnataka Suputra. In 2013, she made her Malayalam debut with Sohanlal's Kadhaveedu.
She had named her favorite Bengali films – Sujan Sakhi, Shami Keno Ashami, Moner Manush, Adorer Bon (directed by the quickie-hit-maker Swapan Saha), Aami Sei Meye (directed by Prosenjit Chatterjee) and Sansar Sangram (directed by Chiranjeet).
