Ottakarathevar Panneerselvam (born 14 January 1951) is an Indian politician who served as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in 2001-02, 2014–15, and from December 6, 2016 to February 16, 2017. He was a member of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and was a staunch loyalist of its leader J. Jayalalithaa. His first two terms as chief minister came to be when he replaced J. Jayalalithaa in the role, after she was forced to resign by the courts. His third term began following Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa's death and ended two months later, when V. K. Sasikala loyalist Edappadi K. Palanisamy was appointed as the Chief Minister by Tamil Nadu Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao.
