Normani Kordei Hamilton (born May 31, 1996) is an American singer and dancer, best known as being a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, which was formed on the second season of The X Factor US. She was a contestant on the season 24 of Dancing with the Stars.
Normani Kordei Hamilton was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in New Orleans to Derrick and Andrea Hamilton. She has two older half sisters, Ashlee and Arielle Hamilton. Her grandmother is Barbara Stewart. She and her family relocated to Houston, Texas, after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. At a young age, Kordei competed in gymnastics and beauty pageants. She has been singing and dancing since age 3. When she was 13 years old, she recorded her first song and had a small role in HBO's Treme. As a child, she used to sing gospel music.
