Kali Muscle is a body builder originally from Oakland, California. He is also an actor and has appeared in commercials for Taco Bell, Geico, Snickers, Comcast, Honda and others. He is a motivator who draws on his own life experience and time spent in prison to deter people from taking the wrong path.
Kali was born Chuck Kirkendall on February 18, 1975. One of three children, he was brought up by his mother and step-father. He came from a poor neighborhood. When he was still young one of his brothers died of an accidental self-shooting. Prior to his brother’s death, he did well at sports, including track and wrestling. He had received a football scholarship to Fresno State University. He was also training at the gym. The death of his brother started a downward slide in his life and into criminal activity. He said that bodybuilding saved him from gang life. He managed to turn his life around from the past he had. He now is on a mission of sorts to talk to young people about his time in prison and the lesson he has learnt about violence and crime. He has become well known for his online videos as well. His biography From Xcon to Icon was released around 2013.
