Jill Martin (born Jill Sondra Dorfman; April 14, 1976) is an American sportscaster and television personality. She is a ten-time Emmy Award-winning television personality, sportscaster, Today Show fashion correspondent, and co-author of the New York Times bestselling style guides I Have Nothing to Wear!, Fashion for Dummies and The Weekend Makeover. She is a reporter for the New York Knicks, contributing to the pre-game, halftime and post-game shows.
Martin grew up in Plainview, New York, where her family still resides. She graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, where she received a degree in communications. During her time there, she interned for various television shows including Regis and Kathie Lee and Geraldo. She has since reunited with Kathie Lee Gifford as she appears on the Today Show's fourth hour, hosted by Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb.
After her internships, Martin began her career as an assistant at The Maury Povich Show. With experience with production under her designer belt, she soon began her broadcasting career in 1999. As the host of WAMI-TV’s Live, Jill reported on entertainment happenings in the Miami area, conducting celebrity interviews and covering special events. Following her time with Live, Jill spent a short time as a Hamptons reporter for News 12 Long Island, reporting on the entertainment scene and writing a corresponding feature in Dan’s Paper highlighting the summer’s must-haves.
