A. Jedediah Louisa Bila (born January 29, 1979) is an American television host, author, and columnist. A self-identified libertarian-conservative, she is best known for her 2016–2017 role as a co-host of ABC's The View and as a Fox News contributor on shows such as Red Eye and Outnumbered.
Bila was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up on Staten Island. From a young age, she was exposed to political discourse amongst her family, who encouraged her to form her own opinions and debate the issues. Bila is of Italian and Sicilian descent.
In 2000, Bila graduated valedictorian from Wagner College, with a B.A. in Spanish and subsequently earned an M.A. in Spanish Literature from Columbia University. Post graduation, Bila toyed with the idea of becoming an actor, as her mother ran a performing arts studio however, she ultimately decided to teach and in 2005, she began teaching in New York. Over the years, she taught creative writing, Spanish, and improvisation to middle school, high school, and college students. She also served as a teacher, student advisor, and academic dean at the Birch Wathen Lenox preparatory school on the Upper East Side.
