Daniel Jason Sudeikis (/sʊˈdeɪkɪs/ suu-DAY-kiss; born September 18, 1975) is an American actor, comedian, and screenwriter. He started his career in improv comedy. He performed at ComedySportz (now Comedy City) in Kansas City and with The Second City. In 2003, he was hired as a sketch writer for Saturday Night Live and was a cast member from 2005 to 2013.
He appeared on the television shows 30 Rock, The Cleveland Show, Eastbound & Down, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Last Man on Earth, and other TV shows.
Sudeikis is known for his roles in the films Horrible Bosses (2011) and its sequel, Horrible Bosses 2 (2014), as well as other films such as Hall Pass (2011), We're the Millers (2013), and Sleeping with Other People (2015), and Race (2016).
Jason Sudeikis was born on September 18, 1975 in Fairfax, Virginia as Daniel Jason Sudeikis. His mother, Kathryn (née Wendt), was a travel agent at Brennco and president of the American Society of Travel Agents. His father, Daniel Joseph Sudeikis, is a vice president of business development. His mother has German and Irish ancestry, while his father is of Irish and Lithuanian descent. His maternal uncle is actor George Wendt, known for his role as Norm Peterson on Cheers, and his maternal great-grandfather was photographer Tom Howard.
