Gaetano John "Gaten" Matarazzo III (/ˈɡeɪtən ˌmætəˈræzoʊ/; Italian: ; born September 8, 2002) is an American actor and singer. He began his career on the Broadway stage as Benjamin in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and as Gavroche in Les Misérables. He stars as Dustin Henderson in the Netflix science-fiction-horror drama series Stranger Things, and hosts the Netflix show Prank Encounters.

Matarazzo was born in Connecticut, to Gaetano and Heather Matarazzo, but raised in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, and he attended Pinelands Regional High School in Tuckerton, New Jersey. He has two siblings, an older sister Sabrina and a younger brother Carmen.

Matarazzo is of Italian descent.

Matarazzo was born with cleidocranial dysostosis, which he has spoken openly about, even documenting one of his surgeries, during which 14 supernumary teeth were removed, on Instagram. After he was cast in Stranger Things as Dustin Henderson, the character's background was modified to have the condition as well. He uses dentures.
