Gabrielle "Gabbie” Jeannette Hanna (born February 7, 1991) is an American YouTuber, viner, author, comedian, and singer-songwriter. She started her career on the popular streaming service, Vine. She has since risen to fame through YouTube, garnering over 5,700,000 subscribers. In April 2018, she was nominated for an IHeartRadio Social Star Award. Prior to being nominated, she released a poetry book titled “Adultolescence” and two songs. Her debut song was called “Out Loud” and her second was named “Satellite”. She plans to eventually release a whole album of songs about mental disorders and her experiences.
Hanna was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania and has 6 siblings. She is of Lebanese, French, and Polish descent. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in psychology and communications. She was a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
Hanna began uploading skits to Vine in late 2013, but only in 2014 she first gained recognition for her comedy on the app Vine, where she managed to accumulate just under five million followers. In 2014, she also set up her main YouTube channel, Gabbie Hanna (formerly The Gabbie Show prior to her rebranding of her public image), which became popular for her 'Storytime' videos. She has now acquired over 5.6 million subscribers and over 680 million views. In 2015, she competed and won season 4 of Dance Showdown with Matt Steffanina as her partner.
