Chase Tyler Kalisz (born March 7, 1994) is an American competition swimmer who specializes in the individual medley, but also competes in the breaststroke and butterfly events.
At the 2013 World Aquatics Championships in Barcelona, Kalisz won silver in the 400-meter individual medley, finishing with a time of 4:09.22, which was half a second behind gold medal winner Daiya Seto of Japan.
Kalisz attends the University of Georgia, where he competed for the Georgia Bulldogs swimming and diving team. Kalisz won the 400-yard individual medley at the 2013 NCAA Championships in Indianapolis as a freshman, finishing with a time of 3:38.05. The following year, Kalisz successfully defended his title and broke the American record in the 400-yard individual medley previously held by Tyler Clary with a time of 3:34.50.
At the 2016 United States Olympic Trials, Kalisz qualified for the 2016 Olympic Team for the 400 Meter Individual Medley with a time of 4:09.54. Kalisz won silver in the 2016 Summer Olympics.
