Robby Blake Bortles (born April 28, 1992) is an American football quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Central Florida and was drafted by the Jaguars in the first round with the third overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Bortles was Central Florida's starting quarterback from midway through the 2011 season to 2013. In 2012, he led UCF to a Conference USA East Division Championship and bowl victory. In 2013, Bortles led the Knights to an upset win over No. 8-ranked Louisville to win the inaugural American Athletic Conference Championship, as well as an upset victory over sixth-ranked Baylor in the 2014 Fiesta Bowl.
In 2017, Bortles helped the Jacksonville Jaguars reach the playoffs for the first time since 2007, defeating the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers on their way to their first AFC Championship Game since 1999. The Jaguars lost to the New England Patriots 20–24.
